Mooncakes Donation Program – Against Child Abuse

Beyond its global mission to fight blindness, Orbis is also deeply committed to supporting our local community. This year, we continue to partner with local charities to launch the Mooncake Donation Program, sharing the warmth and joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival with underprivileged groups. We invite you to donate mooncakes through Orbis and extend your festive wishes to every corner of the community - bringing more comfort and care to those in need this Mid-Autumn Festival. The Hong Kong Single Parents Association (HKSPA), established in 1991, is a registered non-profit organisation supporting single-parent families and those in need. Guided by the motto "Strengthen Ourselves, Help Ourselves, then Help Others," it provides emotional, employment, educational, and legal support to help families overcome challenges and reintegrate into society. Operating through 7 service centres, HKSPA offers key services including: the Single Parent Mental Health Programme, Support Hotline, Grassroots Family Support, Employment Support, Child Care Project, and Divorce Family Counselling. The Association actively promotes co-parenting education, moral development for single-parent children, and support for children from disadvantaged families. HKSPA also researches single-parent policies and advocates for greater government attention to their needs, while enhancing public understanding and acceptance of single-parent families.
