The aim of Shek Kip Mei Lutheran Centre for the Blind is to encourage and promote interaction and cooperation among healthy people and disabled people, in order to achieve social inclusion. The Hong Kong Federation of the Blind was established in 1972. It is a charitable and self-help organization composed of people with visual impairments and recognized by the government. With the spirit of mutual self-help at its core, the organization unites individuals with visual impairments and works to secure equal opportunities for them in education, employment, and social welfare.
