Beyond its global mission to fight blindness, Orbis is also deeply committed to supporting our local community. This year, we continue to partner with local charities to launch the Mooncake Donation Program, sharing the warmth and joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival with underprivileged groups. We invite you to donate mooncakes through Orbis and extend your festive wishes to every corner of the community - bringing more comfort and care to those in need this Mid-Autumn Festival. New Life Church of Christ Sun Tin Wai Neighbour Elderly Centre was established in July 1981 as the first elderly service centre of the New Life Church of Christ. Guided by the Christian spirit of love and compassion, it is committed to caring for the holistic needs—physical, mental, social and spiritual—of the elderly, supporting their caregivers, and building a strong neighbourhood network. Through a wide range of activities and community support services, the Centre enables elderly individuals to age in place, enjoying a joyful and fulfilling later life. Hong Kong Community Network (HKCN) was established in 2010, which is a non-profit charity in Hong Kong (91/10503). HKCN operates Support Service Centres for Ethnic Minorities in Kwai Tsing District (LINK Centre) and New Territories East (IDEA Centre). We provide service for ethnic minorities, Chinese elderly, new arrivals, low-income families, the disabled & other vulnerable groups, and actively promote diversity and inclusion. Against Child Abuse was established in 1979. Strive to eliminate all forms of child abuse and promote a caring and non-violent environment for the optimal growth and development of children. Their services include preventive services, Parent-child Support Line, case assessment, counselling and treatment services, public education and advocacy, etc. They hope that children can grow up healthily and happily through various work.
